Tata Car Sales Breakup Aug 2026 – Punch, Nexon, Tiago, Sierra, Harrier, Altroz, Safari, Curvv, Tigor
by Pearl Daniels · RushLaneTata Motors recorded strong passenger vehicle sales in August 2026, helped by significant growth across some of its highest-volume models. Combined sales of the models listed stood at 65,253 units, up 59.15% from 41,001 units in August 2025. Sales also improved 4.22% MoM from 62,611 units in July 2026.

Combined Punch and Punch EV sales increased from 10,704 units in August 2025 to 21,320 units last month, registering 99.18% YoY growth. Punch was also the No 1 selling car of India last month. MoM performance was almost flat, increasing by just seven units from 21,313 units in July. Punch alone contributed 32.67% of Tata’s volumes in the table. Together, Punch and Nexon accounted for almost 61% of sales.
Nexon and Nexon EV recorded 18,431 units, growing 31.61% YoY from 14,004 units and 5.49% MoM from 17,471 units. Tiago was another strong performer, with combined Tiago and Tiago EV sales reaching 8,537 units. That’s a 62.61% YoY increase over 5,250 units and 14.91% growth over July’s 7,429 units.
Tata Sierra Sales Under 5.5k – Lowest Since Deliveries Began
Sierra and Sierra EV contributed 5,622 units in August. More importantly, August represented Sierra’s lowest monthly sales since customer deliveries commenced in January 2026. Sales declined 11.14% MoM from 6,327 units in July, a reduction of 705 units.
Despite the sequential decline, Sierra remains Tata’s fourth-largest contributor, accounting for 8.62% of the volumes during August. Tata Sierra recorded the 50k sales milestone last month, with the launch of Jubilee Edition. Later this month new Sierra variants are expected to launch, which are expected to deliver sales boost ahead of festive season.
Harrier And Safari Record Growth
Harrier and Harrier EV recorded combined sales of 3,577 units, an increase of 15.87% over 3,087 units last year. Sales also improved 8.36% MoM from 3,301 units. Safari recorded a particularly strong sequential improvement. Sales increased to 1,953 units from 1,453 units in July, resulting in 34.41% MoM growth. Compared to 1,489 units in August 2025, Safari sales were higher by 31.16%.
Altroz moved in the opposite direction on a yearly basis. Sales stood at 3,047 units, down 23.04% from 3,959 units last year. However, there was some sequential improvement, with sales rising 6.46% from 2,862 units in July.
Curvv and Curvv EV recorded combined sales of 1,904 units, up 11.80% from 1,703 units a year earlier. MoM sales increased 12.20% from 1,697 units. Tigor and Tigor EV remained Tata’s lowest-volume models in the list at 862 units. Nevertheless, sales improved 7.08% YoY and 13.72% MoM.
