Toyota India Sales June 2026 Up 7% – Domestic Sales Cross 28k
by Pearl Daniels · RushLaneToyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) continued its growth momentum in June 2026, reporting total sales of 31,016 units, a 7.44% increase over the 28,869 units sold during the same month last year. The total includes domestic sales of 28,441 units and exports of 2,575 units.
While the company posted healthy year-on-year growth, domestic dispatches declined 6.98% compared to May 2026, when Toyota had sold 30,574 vehicles. The month-on-month dip comes after a strong May performance, although June volumes remained comfortably ahead of the corresponding period last year.
Domestic Sales Continue Upward Trend
Toyota sold 28,441 vehicles in the domestic market during June 2026, compared to 26,453 units in June 2025, registering a 7.52% year-on-year growth. Exports also remained positive at 2,575 units, up 6.58% over the 2,416 units shipped during the same month last year. Combined domestic and export sales reached 31,016 units, reflecting sustained demand for Toyota’s passenger vehicle portfolio.
Commenting on the sales performance, Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President – Sales, Service & Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said the company’s June performance was driven by continued market momentum and a strong customer-centric approach. He added that the recently introduced New Innova Crysta, featuring updated styling and premium design elements, has received encouraging customer response. Toyota also reiterated that strengthening its market presence through quality products, value-added services and improved ownership experience will remain key focus areas going forward.
Strong Quarter And Half-Year Performance
Toyota has also reported healthy cumulative growth for both the first quarter and first half of calendar year 2026. During Q2 2026 (April-June), domestic sales increased to 89,174 units, up 10.68% over the 80,566 units sold during the same period last year. Total sales, including exports, stood at 96,230 units, registering a 10.53% growth.
For the first half of 2026 (January-June), Toyota sold 1,85,666 vehicles in the domestic market, compared to 1,61,531 units in H1 2025, representing a 14.94% increase. Exports also improved to 15,672 units, up 17.31%, taking the company’s total H1 sales to 2,01,338 units, a healthy 15.12% year-on-year growth.
SUV And MPV Portfolio Driving Growth
Toyota’s steady sales performance continues to be supported by strong demand for its SUV and MPV lineup. Models such as Innova Hycross, Innova Crysta, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Fortuner, Rumion, Glanza continue to contribute to overall volumes. The company is also expected to further strengthen its portfolio in the coming months with additional offerings as consumer preference for fuel-efficient vehicles continues to grow, starting with the new gen Hilux this month.
