MANILA, Philippines — Monsoon rains will persist in Luzon, state weather forecasters said yesterday.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will be felt in Metro Manila, Aklan, Antique and other areas.

Occasional rains will be felt in Zambales, Bataan, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas and Occidental Mindoro.

Isolated rainshowers will be experienced in parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.

No low-pressure area is being monitored.
