SED seeks explanation against poor results of 12th class in 2023-24
by Northlines · NorthlinesSrinagar, Apr 28: School Education Department on Monday sought explanation from the lecturers for having poor results in 12th standard of the previous academic session.
Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) in a circular said, “ Administrative Department in August 2024 had forwarded a list of lecturers whose result of 12th standard examination for the academic session 2023-24 was found poor and unsatisfactory in violation of standing norms.”
DSEK said that the communication was endorsed to all the Chief Education Officers (CEOs) by DSEK with a request to furnish the details of these lecturers as desired by Administrative Department
It also said that the information received from the CEOs was compiled and accordingly submitted to Administrative Department for further necessary action
“The Administrative Department has instructed to issue advisory for seeking explanation from the erring lecturers of various subjects for their poor performance in results and prepare a corrective action plan with feedback mechanism to ensure the improvement of teaching standards in the UT of J&K,” reads the circular.
DSEK ordered that, “All CEOs shall seek explanation from all such lecturers whose result of 12th standard examination for the academic session 2023-24 was found poor or unsatisfactory.”
It also said that the delinquent lecturers shall submit their reply before the concerned Chief Education Officer through concerned Principal within weeks’ time.
“The Chief Education Officer concerned shall examine the replies and shall submit report in consolidated manner with specific and candid recommendations to DSEK within 15 days positively, enabling to proceed further in the matter,” it reads.
