Army Soldier Dies Of Suspected Cardiac Arrest While On Duty Along LoC In Poonch
by Northlines · NorthlinesMENDHAR/JAMMU, Mar 16: An Army soldier died of a suspected cardiac arrest while on duty along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, officials said on Monday.
The soldier, identified as Naik Tilak Singh, was posted in the forward Nangi Takri area of the Krishna Ghati sector, they said.
According to officials, Singh was found unconscious while performing his duties along the LoC on March 15. Despite immediate medical assistance, he could not be revived.
Paying tributes to the soldier, the Army’s White Knight Corps said in a post on X that the braveheart made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
“In solemn remembrance, White Knight Corps pays tribute to braveheart Naik Tilak Singh, who was found unconscious while performing duty on the LoC in Krishna Ghati sector on March 15. Despite immediate medical assistance, the brave soldier could not be revived and made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty,” the post said.
It added that his courage and commitment exemplified the finest traditions of the Indian Army and that his sacrifice would continue to inspire generations. (Agencies)
