Decision on Winter Vacation after annual exams: DSEK
by Northlines · NorthlinesSrinagar, Nov 23: The Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Tassaduq Hussain Mir, announced on Saturday that a decision regarding winter vacations will be taken only after the completion of the annual exams for classes 1 to 9.
Addressing the media, Mir emphasized that the primary focus for the government is to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted conduct of exams, which are scheduled to begin on Monday with a uniform date sheet for all classes up to 9th standard. He clarified that there will be no winter vacations before the exams conclude.
Regarding the issue of admission and capitation fees charged by some private schools, Mir assured that the fee fixation committee is closely monitoring and regulating the fees and charges of private institutions. He reiterated that no private school is permitted to charge admission or capitation fees. He further stated that any complaints regarding such charges will be taken seriously, and action will be taken as necessary.
