Brussels offers everything you could want from a city break - beautiful parks for leisurely strolls, museums, stunning architecture, and delectable cuisine. One must-see attraction is the Grand-Place, a cobblestone square encircled by towering guildhalls, historically home to the city's merchants.

The Brussels City Museum, dedicated to the culture and people of this magnificent city, is another worthwhile visit. Even better, entry is free on the first Sunday of every month.

Brussels is renowned for its bustling street markets, with the Jeu de Balle flea market being a must-visit. This expansive market boasts an array of stalls selling everything from vintage artwork and quirky home decor to clothes, jewellery and more.

It's easy to lose track of time as you explore the huge selection of vendors.

Another lesser-known gem is the Chasseurs Ardennais market, which focuses more on food. Here, visitors can sample local delicacies such as the famous Belgian waffles and moules frites.

Brussels also offers an abundance of parks for those seeking some green space. The Bois de la Cambre, one of the largest parks in the region, features extensive forests, playgrounds and even horse riding.

The Parc Du Cinquantenaire is another must-see. Here, visitors can marvel at the impressive Triumphal Arch, Exposition Halls and the Bordiau Halls, which also houses the Museum of Art and History.

For a unique experience, Mini Europe is worth a visit. Opening in early March, this quirky attraction showcases miniature versions of Europe's most famous landmarks.

Close by, you'll find the Atomium, a striking modernist structure representing a crystal molecule of iron, magnified 165 billion times.

Should you not manage to snag a deal in the Eurostar flash sale, affordable flights to Charleroi airport, located just outside Brussels, remain an option. One-way flights originating from Manchester begin at a mere £19, and departures are also available from other major airports including Stansted, Glasgow, and Liverpool.
