Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 136.40 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 3,021 cusecs and a discharge of 2,117 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 59.78 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 1,951 cusecs and a discharge of 2,469 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 8,530.73 mcft. Mullaperiyar dam and Gudalur recorded a rainfall of 0.6 mm each in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Monday.
