Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy reaffirmed his government’s commitment to fulfilling electoral promises and implementing welfare schemes without compromise.

Addressing a public meeting at the ‘Praja Palana Pragati Bata’ programme at Shivunipalli village near Station Ghanpur in the district on Sunday, he emphasised that despite inheriting a huge debt burden, his government is determined to drive development across the state.

Warangal, he said, holds historical significance and will be developed as a major city, second only to Hyderabad, and ₹6,500 crore has been allocated for combined Warangal district’s development, with ₹800 crore specifically earmarked for Station Ghanpur constituency.

He virtually inaugurated projects worth ₹630.27 crore, including Young India Integrated Residential School in Konayachalam village at ₹200 crore and a new degree college in Ghanpur at ₹5.5 crore. A 100-bed hospital at ₹45.5 crore and an integrated divisional-level office complex for ₹26 crore highlight the administration’s efforts in healthcare and governance.

The second phase of the Devadula irrigation project at ₹148.76 crore, along with canal works for RS Ghanpur, aims to enhance water resources. Housing projects have also been prioritised, with 512 Indiramma houses sanctioned at ₹25.6 crore and additional initiatives across multiple mandals.

Infra focus

Infrastructure remains a key focus, with rural road renovations, road widening projects, and construction of Banjara Bhavan. Power supply in the region is set for a boost with the establishment of multiple 33/11 KV substations across villages.

Mr. Reddy distributed a cheque of ₹92.74 crore to women’s groups under the interest-free loan waiver scheme, and ₹100 crore under bank linkage assistance.

He praised local MLA Kadiyam Srihari and Warangal MP Kadiyam Kavya for their efforts to develop their respective constituencies.
