Senior citizen missing since last week found safe in Sri Aman

KUCHING (Nov 24): An elderly man reported missing last week while heading to his garden at Sungai Raya Ibol in Undop, Sri Aman was found safe this morning.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said Niang Lasa, 75, was found by members of the public in Sungai Antu, Batu Lintang, Sri Aman.

“The victim was found at a distance of about 8km from the search zone. He was then brought to the Bomba operation control centre at Rumah Ringgit, Ibol,” it said in a statement.

It added Niang was then taken to the hospital for a checkup.

The victim was reported missing at around 7.30am last Thursday after failing to return home from his garden the previous morning.
