Status Yellow wind and rain warnings for 15 counties
· RTE.ieStrong winds and heavy rain will sweep across Ireland tomorrow as a number of Status Yellow warnings for wind and rain have been issued.
Met Éireann said a Status Yellow wind and rain warning will be in effect for Munster, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.
It said very strong and gusty southerly winds, together with spells of heavy rain, could lead to difficult travelling conditions, localised flooding, fallen trees and debris along with poor visibility.
The warning will be in effect from 2am until 3pm tomorrow.
A separate Status Yellow warning for wind will be in operation for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo from 3pm tomorrow until midnight.
The forecaster said strong and gusty southwesterly winds may lead to difficult travelling conditions, fallen trees and lose debris.
Separately, the UK Met Office said strong winds may lead to some disruption across Norther Ireland tomorrow.
It has issued a Yellow warning for wind for Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry from 3am until 3pmm.
