Status Yellow wind and rain warnings for some counties

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for five counties in Munster for tomorrow and a Status Yellow rain warning has also been issued for Cork and Kerry.

The wind warning for counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford will come into effect at 1pm tomorrow and will remain in place until 9pm.

The forecaster has warned of "very strong and gusty southeasterly winds", which could lead to difficult travelling conditions and some fallen trees and branches.

Wave overtopping and flooding is possible "due to a combination of spring tides, surge and very strong onshore winds".

It also said there is the potential of debris and loose objects becoming displaced.

Meanwhile, a Status Yellow rain warning for Cork and Kerry will also be in place from 1pm tomorrow until 9pm.

Met Éireann said there will be spells of heavy rain with the potential for localised flooding, difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility.
