Riyadh — Mubasher: The Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) has halted trading in the shares of Watani Iron Steel Company starting 1 October 2026 to facilitate the company's relocation from the Nomu - Parallel Market to the Main Market.

The suspension is scheduled to last for a period not exceeding five trading sessions while the final transition procedures are completed, according to a bourse filing.

This regulatory action follows Tadawul’s approval of the company's application to move its listing to the Main Market.

Meanwhile, the suspension is a standard procedural step for companies migrating between the two equity platforms in the Kingdom.

Tadawul confirmed that it will announce the specific date for the commencement of trading and the formal listing of the issuer's shares on the Main Market immediately upon the conclusion of the remaining administrative requirements.

The transition represents a significant shift for the steel manufacturer as it moves to the primary exchange, which typically provides access to a broader base of institutional investors and increased market liquidity.
