Flipkart has secured NBFC licence from the RBI to offer loans directly to consumers and sellers on its platform

A lending licence will enable Flipkart - India’s largest e-commerce firm - to lend directly, a more lucrative model for the group.

This is the first time that the RBI has granted a large e-commerce player in the country a non-bank finance company (NBFC) licence, news agency Reuters reported.
