Oil jumps almost 3% on concern over more sanctions on Russia and Iran
LONDON :Oil prices surged on Friday and were on track for a third straight week of gains as traders focused on potential supply disruptions from more sanctions on Russia and Iran. Brent crude futures gained $2.23, or 2.9 per cent, to $79.15 a barrel by 1130 GMT, reaching the highest level in three months.
