Celebrity Traitors fans in stitches as Joe Marler hits head in task

by · Mail Online

Celebrity Traitors viewers 'can't stop laughing' after Joe Marler hit his head during the final challenge.

Thursday night's finale saw the final five contestants take on a high-stakes task aboard the show's famous steam train.

Their mission sounded simple enough: board the train, find the keys, unlock the crates, and collect the gold — all within 20 minutes.

But, in true Traitors fashion, host Claudia Winkleman added a dramatic twist, revealing that the crates were rigged with fake explosives.

As the tension mounted, former rugby star Joe Marler, 35, was seen frantically unlocking one of the crates and digging inside for the gold.

In a rush, however, the crate's lid came crashing down on his head, prompting him to yelp: 'Owww, Nick!'

His teammate Nick Mohammed quickly protested, 'It's not me!' - moments before the lid fell on Joe a second time.

Viewers were left in stitches as the mishap happened again, with Joe exclaiming: 'Ow, Nick, you keep doing it!' before the lid hit him for a third.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, they penned: 'Someone please check Joe’s head! #CelebrityTraitors',

'The chest lid falling on Joe’s head was cinema #CelebrityTraitors',

'After dropping that lid on Joe's head 3 times, I definitely want Nick to win now',

'Joe Marler being repeatedly hit in the head by that crate lid is FANTASTIC television #CelebrityTraitors',

'The trunk falling on Joe’s head and his identical screams, comedy GOLD #CelebrityTraitors',

'Poor joe's gonna end up with a concussion, the number of times that lid hit his head.'

Elsewhere in the episode, Alan Carr was crowned the winner of the series.

Viewers were eagerly anticipating whether traitors Cat Burns and Alan Carr or faithfuls Joe, Nick and David Olusoga would win the £87,500 prize for charity.

Cat was the first to be caught and banished in the vote with Joe the next to go.

The three remaining players, Alan, David and Nick, voted to end the game, when the comedian revealed himself to be a traitor.

Alan said: 'I am and have always have been a Traitor, I am so sorry it's been tearing me apart! It's been tearing me apart'.

Nick and David drop to their knees in complete shock as they congratulate Alan on the money he has won for his charity

David said: 'That was brilliant, I couldn't have done it'.

Nick added: 'Utterly shocked, Joe was right and I wasn't. Alan Carr played an absolute blinder!'

Alan’s victory concluded the first celebrity version of the reality game show.

Only one of the three non-celebrity UK series was won by a traitor.
