Danny Jones' wife Georgia Horsley 'turns down Celebrity Big Brother'
by MADISON BURGESS · Mail OnlineDanny Jones' wife Georgia Horsley has reportedly turned down the opporunity to appear on Celebrity Big Brother, following her husband's 'kissing' scandal with Maura Higgins.
The married McFly singer, 38, hit the headlines after spending the evening with Maura, 34, at Universal Music's BRIT Awards afterparty last Saturday, where they were spotted in a compromising clinch.
Georgia, 38, reportedly turned down a whopping six-figure offer from ITV, as she would rather keep her personal life off of screens and instead focus on her son Cooper, seven.
A source told The Mirror: 'She's heartbroken, but she's dealing with it in her own way, away from the cameras and headlines.
'She's never been interested in the spotlight when it comes to personal matters. Georgia believes some things should be handled behind closed doors, especially for Cooper's sake.
'Right now, she's just trying to process everything without outside noise influencing her decisions.'
According to the publication, Georgia was approached after the BRITs and in wake of the scandal, but despite talks about the possiiblity going ahead, nothing was finalised.
The source added that she will be avoiding interviews and instead wants to lay low and work out her relationship behind closed doors.
MailOnline has contacted a representative for Georgia for comment.
In the wake of the scandal, both Maura and Danny have been hit by a wave of criticism, with many furious on behalf of Georgia, Danny's wife of 10 years and mother of his son.
It comes after Georiga broke her social media silence earlier this week as she shared a snap of the couple's seven-year-old son Cooper.
The black and white image sees Cooper wearing a pair of dark sunglasses while playing on a handheld device.
Not addressing her husband or his recent antics with Ann Summers model Maura, Georgia simply captioned her image with a blue love heart.
A host of Georgia's showbiz pals were quick to share their support for her in the comments.
Sarah Louise Merrygold, wife of JLS star Aston penned: 'Little dude. sending you all my love.'

Georgia's husband Danny has yet to publicly comment on the scandal and has not posted on his Instagram grid since the night of the BRITs, in which he posed for a selfie with KSI and Tom Fletcher.
Amid a period of silence, he has now reposted several happy birthday messages from fan accounts on his Instagram Story to mark his 39th birthday.
One fan message read: 'Happy birthday to someone who can light up a room with just a simple smile. Hope you have a wonderful day Danny. You so deserve it please remember especially today how loved and cared about you are by so many people hope you are well keep smiling that amazing smile.'
His supportive bandmate Tom Fletcher also shared a sweet message, penning: 'Happy birthday mush. Looking forward to standing on stage with you soon'
It comes as Maura is reportedly 'really struggling' with the 'relentless' backlash she has received following her drunken kiss with Danny earlier this month.
Maura escaped the drama by flying across the pond for a work trip at the weekend and was snapped arriving at Los Angeles airport on Sunday.
Georgia isn't the only one to turn down Celebrity Big Brother, after Annie Kilner reportedly also turned down a £750,000 offer to appear on the show.
The wife of wayward footballer Kyle Walker, is understood to be ITV's 'top target' for the show, which will start filming this spring.
But Annie, 33, has told friends that she is ruling it out, at least in part because son Rezon, nine months, is not yet one year old and CBB runs over three weeks of filming.
One said: 'It's a format which is all talking and pressure, and people don't tend to come out of it all that well. Annie I am sure was flattered by the offer but she isn't going to be taking this one up.'
Meanwhile, Olympic legend Daley Thompson is reportedly in advanced talks with ITV bosses to join the show.
And ITV fans are convinced that former Love Island star Chris Hughes is going into the famous house after his pal and I'm A Celebrity star Grace let slip that he has signed up.
During the most recent episode of her Saving Grace podcast, Grace, 25, said: 'I know someone who's going in.'
Telling her producers to 'bleep it', she mouthed the name to her guest Trewley Precious.
Grace continued: 'He's a bit of you. He's a bit dorky, he loves horses racing.'
After shooting to fame on Love Island in 2017, Chris, 32, went on to become a sports presenter and regularly hosts the horse racing coverage on ITV.
Fans rushed to Reddit to claim it was obvious who Grace was talking about and wrote: 'She's friends with him and described him as loving horses and a few more things about his personality. 100% him.'
'She said she knows somebody going into celebrity big brother and she bleeps the name and it's clearly Chris Hughes.'
Chris' representatives refused to comment when contacted by MailOnline.
A spokesperson for Celebrity Big Brother said, 'Any names suggested for Celebrity Big Brother are purely speculation.'
