The 'truth behind Alan Carr and Paloma Faith's feud revealed'

by · Mail Online

The truth behind Alan Carr and Paloma Faith's 'feud' has reportedly been revealed.

Earlier this week, The Traitors fans were left in uproar after comedian Alan Carr, 49, 'murdered' Paloma Faith, 44, on the hit BBC reality show Celebrity Traitors.

On Thursday night's episode, viewers watched in shock as the Only Love Can Hurt Like This singer was killed off.

In a shock twist, it was her pal Alan, who had been selected by host Claudia Winkleman to be a Traitor in Wednesday's launch episode, who made the fatal move.

Alan and his fellow Traitors, talk show host Jonathan Ross and singer Cat Burns, were tasked with taking out one of their fellow celebrities.

Claudia, 53, explained they would have to touch someone else's face in order to 'poison' them with the pollen of a black lily that had been placed in Ardross Castle.

Stood in the kitchen alone, comedian Alan took his chance to place his thumb on Paloma's cheek as he told her she 'had a hair in her face'.

While Paloma survived the night, she was shockingly put into a coffin and carried away as part of a prize-building game the following day.

Following the betrayal, Paloma didn't hold back on The Traitors companion podcast, Uncloaked.

She fumed: 'These are like three of my favourite people that I was sure… I hope they never call me again.

'Bang out of order. Bang out of order. I feel really even more betrayed now. I feel betrayed by Jonathan and Alan.

Despite the fiery reaction, sources have now insisted that tension between the pair is all for show.

Paloma Faith reveals she suspected Alan Carr accidentally leaked her breakup - after she dropped clues their friendship is OVER after Celebrity Traitors betrayal

A source told The Sun: 'Paloma's sad to be out first from Celebrity Traitors but is keen to carry on the game.

'She's been making digs at Alan on social media to keep up the pretence that she's still a Faithful at war with a Traitor, but of course, the pair are still incredibly firm friends.

'Both of them have been in the business long enough to know not to take anything in showbiz seriously.'

The source also revealed the pals are already planning a catch-up for a full Traitors debrief.

Daily Mail have contacted Paloma and Alan's representatives for comment.

It comes after Paloma dropped a series of clues this week that her friendship with Alan is over

As the show aired on Thursday evening, Paloma first reacted to the moment Alan 'killed' her, as a flashback scene played showing Alan touching her face.

Taking to her Instagram stories, she shared a selfie video from the sofa as she simply said 'f***' to the camera, tagging Alan's account in the post.

They continued: 'She's been making digs at Alan on social media to keep up the pretence that she's still a Faithful at war with a Traitor, but of course, the pair are still incredibly firm friends'

She went on to post a photo of herself sitting by her own grave from the series, telling fans she was 'gutted' to be the first person to leave the series.

When one fan responded in the comments they thought that Alan 'was her friend', Paloma simply hit back: 'So did I.'

Another nail in the coffin came when Paloma was asked what her highlights of the show were as she waved goodbye to the castle for good - and left Alan out.

She told viewers: 'I liked feeling how physically competent I was with the Trojan horse. That was such a thrilling group achievement and hard work.

'Meeting people I’d never crossed paths with before: Celia is just an absolute dream, and I love, love Niko, he’s amazing.

'It was so nice to meet Cat as well. Ruth Codd was one of the funniest, most brilliant people I’ve met in a long time!'

Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC One and iPlayer on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
