The Celebrity Traitors are DOOMED after two BIG mistakes at worst time
by Jess Lester · Mail OnlineThe Celebrity Traitors is gearing up for a tense finale, as the 20 famous faces have been whittled down to just five finalists due to appear in next week's episode.
But fans think that the deceitful remaining pair of murderers, Alan Carr and Cart Burns, are doomed after being 'exposed' by host Claudia Winkleman, and making a series of nosedives.
On Thursday night's episode, Kate Garraway was sent packing from Ardross Castle after a shock roundtable, that saw the Good Morning Britain host go head-to-head with historian David Olusoga.
And not before Thursday Murder Club actress Celia Imrie was killed off by Traitors Alan, 49, and Cat, 25, in plain sight at a dinner party for the remaining six stars.
While Alan and Cat have been growing increasingly aware that eyes are beginning to turn towards them, a series of blunders and shock twists mean the villains look increasingly like they will fail at the final hurdle.
The downfall began when hostess Claudia, 53, appeared to give away a major hint that singer Cat was a Traitor hiding in plain sight.
Since the show began, the celebrity contestants have been busy trying to suss each other out by monitoring 'changes in behaviour' and 'body language' differences.
It saw the likes of Good Morning Britain host Kate, 58, have attentions turned towards her for being 'a ham' and using words like 'flabbergasted', and Line of Duty actor Mark Bonnar banished for 'over reacting' at the roundtable.
In the same manner, it appeared Claudia gave the group a massive hint during Wednesday night's trial, which saw celebs cross a suspended wooden bridge.
'This is a new side to Cat, I’m gonna be honest,' Claudia told the other contestants while they watched on as a nervous Cat slowly attempted to cross the bridge.
Trying to cover up the comment, fellow Traitor Jonathan Ross, who was banished in the same episode, hit back against Claudia: 'But you know, it must be terrifying.’
Things went from bad to worse for the Traitors following Thursday night's roundtable, when former rugby player Joe, 35, became certain he'd uncovered the Traitors.
Shortly after the roundtable ended, he pulled both Nick, 45, and David, 55, aside to tell them as a trio they need to hone in on Alan and Cat.
'There's no hiding place round those small roundtables now, and tonight, Nick convinced me that Cat is a Traitor that has gone way under the radar the entire game,' Joe then told the cameras.
'I think that Cat and Alan are Traitors. I think it might be both of them.'
Meeting with David in the corridor, Joe added: 'This will sound really suspicious and I know you being the intelligent man that you are… I'm convinced that it's Alan and Cat.
'I'm playing a very dangerous game of remaining very close to them because I'm certain that I'm a Faithful, that Nick's a Faithful. You're a Faithful. Just watch them.'
Speaking to the camera at the end of the episode he said: 'My plan involves getting really close to Alan and Cat so they keep me in the game.
'Then I can try and pull the rug from under their feet at the last minute. Sorry, Traitors, I'm coming for you.'
Alan appeared to solidify Joe's thoughts about him being a Traitor with a major slip up following the round table, which saw the comedian laugh as he told his fellow contestants 'I am a Faithful'.
At the end of the show, the group were told to reassure each other that they were Faithfuls as host Claudia took them outside for a tense campfire chat.
Host Claudia Winkleman gathered the remaining contestants outside and told them to look at each other on the eyes and repeat, 'I am a Faithful'.

Nick and David were able to confidently tell the group that they were Faithfuls, but when it came to Alan, he couldn't get the words out without laughing.
Trying to cover up his mistake, Alan said: 'I am a Faithful, I just get nervous,' as he continued to giggle, panicking and looking at Claudia.
Following the slip up, Joe insisted: 'It’s just another confirmation of what I’m thinking about Alan. He can’t even look us in the eyes and say "I’m A Faithful".
'If that’s not a red flag, then I don’t know what is.'
Fans are certain that it could spell the end for Alan and Cat, writing on X: 'Joe has cracked the case that Alan and Cat are the Traitors!'
A second agreed: 'Didn't have Joe Marler down as being the smartest man in this game,' as a third wrote: 'Joe is going to blow it all for Alan and Cat.'
'Alan’s just handed it to them on a plate round that fire pit,' a fourth added.
Another penned: 'Goodness gracious me. *That* Alan Carr laugh may have been one laugh too many … and now there’s a whole week to wait.'
Celebrity Traitors will conclude next Thursday on BBC One at 9pm.
