Danny Jones liked a sexy Instagram picture of Maura Higgins before their 'drunken kiss' at the BRIT Awards – as it's revealed the I'm A Celebs co-stars 'kept in touch' after their jungle stint. 

The former Love Island star, 34, and McFly singer, 38, became friends after starring in the most recent series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and stayed connected on Instagram since the show ended last December.

Danny has even publicly shown his admiration for Maura by liking one of her sexy posts, which was shared in January, and pictured the influencer dressed in a black bra and leopard print dress. 

The image, captioned 'Ravenous' by the influencer, showed Maura flaunting her slim frame in the figure-hugging outfit, posing with her arm outstretched across a wooden table.  

Maura has also liked a string of Danny's Instagram pictures uploaded this year, commenting a love heart emoji on a post of the boyband star performing on stage. 

And the closeness of their relationship was exposed in the early hours of Sunday morning when they were caught on camera sharing what appeared to be a kiss at a star-studded Universal bash in London. 

Now, sources close to Maura have told MailOnline the Irish model had been 'complimenting' Danny ahead of their BRITs linkup. 

A source told MailOnline: 'Maura had kept in touch with Danny since I'm A Celeb.

'The majority of the cast have kept in contact, but Maura had been complimentary towards Danny.

'Maura is friendly with everyone but, still, Danny is married and therefore the tone could be deemed inappropriate.'

The insider also told how their meeting at the Universal party, held at 180 Studios on The Strand, was pre-planned, as they joined fellow jungle campmates including Oti Mabuse, 34, for a reunion at the glitzy music night.

They later venue hopped across London to attend a Sony party at the Nobu Hotel in Portman Square and were seen laughing together at 4am. 

Their rendezvous came weeks after Maura split from Strictly star Pete Wicks, 37, who she publicly accused of 'cheating' following their separation.

The couple had dated as Pete danced on Strictly and Maura competed on I'm A Celeb, which saw Danny crowned King of the Jungle. 

MailOnline has contacted Maura's spokesperson for comment. 

After being named as the winner, the musician was greeted by his wife Georgia Horsley, 38, the mother of his seven-year-old son Cooper, and broke down in tears. 

Danny and Georgia, a former Miss World, married in 2014 after meeting in 2009 at a Miss London event. 

Danny has yet to comment on social media after his dalliance with Maura became public and neither has the reality star. 

Both heavily documented the buildup and their subsequent evening at the BRIT Awards, where they sat on tables close by to each other.

But at the time of writing, neither have added any new updates on their social media.

The couple, who have not been at their London home, are believed to have gone away in the wake of the scandal, opting to deal with the situation privately.

It is understood that they remain together, with sources telling The Sun they hope to 'move on' from the situation.

A source said: 'This saga has been embarrassing, and Danny had a lot of explaining to do.'

They added: 'Danny and Georgia have been together for a long time and have spoken about that night. They are keen to just move past it and get on with their lives.

'They've been away for a few days, and they are focused on being a family unit. Danny and Georgia are both committed to each other.' 

Danny's wife Georgia had spoken on Instagram about how she found the time he spent in the Australian juggle difficult.

She was left to solo parent their son Cooper as well move house without Danny's support.

Writing on Instagram at the start of January, she said: 'I was going into this New Year burnt out. Everything I didn't want to feel entering 2025.

'Over a month of solo parenting, moving house on my own, working hard on my career while Danny was in the jungle with snakes in his pants was a lot.'

Georgia explained how she took a much-needed break on her own to decompress from her hectic end to the year.

She added: 'So, while I was in Australia I decided I needed to do something for me, a solo trip, one to push me out of comfort zone but also one to give me the break I craved.'

The couple are in the throes of renovating their new London property after moving before Christmas. 

Danny joked on a recent podcast that he was surprised Georgia stayed with him after taking on the move on her own.

He said: 'I left my wife to move house so I'm surprised she's still with me to be honest because she moved the house all by herself.'
