Fable delayed to 2026, gets first pre-alpha gameplay video

by · DSOGaming

Microsoft has announced that Fable has been officially delayed until 2026. Moreover, IGN has shared the first pre-alpha gameplay video from it. So, if you are remotely interested in this new action RPG, I recommend watching it.

This delay shouldn’t come as a surprise. After all, the last time we heard about Fable was in June 2024. So, it was obvious to everyone that the game wouldn’t come out this year.

This first pre-alpha gameplay video is kind of interesting. From what I can see, it manages to capture the art style and visuals of the 2024 in-engine trailer. And yes, the main character looks exactly how she did in 2023. There aren’t any major changes to her 3D model.

The game also appears to have a pretty good combat system. Players will be able to block, dodge and parry enemy attacks. They will also be able to use melee and ranged weapons, as well as magic. So, this is pretty much what most of us were expecting from an action RPG.

And that’s basically all we have to say. MS did not share any more details about it. But hey, at least we got some gameplay footage from it.

Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more!
