NCSoft has revealed its new global MMORPG, Horizon Steel Frontiers, at Korea’s premiere game conference, G-Star 2025. Developed in collaboration with Guerrilla Games (Horizon, Killzone), Horizon Steel Frontiers is an MMORPG based on the acclaimed Horizon universe.

Set in the lands of the machine hunters known as the Deadlands, the game builds on Horizon’s signature hunting-action gameplay while introducing advanced MMORPG systems, featuring deeply customizable combat and extensive player freedom. The title aims to deliver a distinct Horizon experience to players around the world.

NCSoft has also shared the first trailers for Horizon Steel Frontiers. The trailers highlight the world of Horizon Steel Frontiers, mechanical creatures, and large-scale battles unique to the game.

In the developer interview, Jan-Bart Van Beek, Studio Director and Art Director at Guerrilla, shared his excitement about collaborating with NCSOFT to bring this Horizon experience to life. NC CEO & CCO (Chief Creative Officer) Taekjin Kim and NC Executive Producer Sunggu Lee offered their insight, inspiration, and hopes for the new collaboration in the 10-minute gameplay/developer commentary video.

Horizon Steel Frontiers will be coming to PC and mobiles, and it will support cross-play between them. There is currently no word on whether we’ll see it on Sony’s consoles. There is also no ETA on when it will come out.

Enjoy!
