Playtest for the open-world extraction shooter, Exoborne, begins on February 12th

Sharkmob announced that a playtest for Exoborne, its open-world tactical extraction shooter, will begin on February 12th. This test marks the first instance where players can try Exoborne’s PVPVE combat on a large scale.

In Exoborne, players take on the role of Reborn, special survivors equipped with powerful Exo-Rigs. They are invited to choose their tactical approach by customizing their Rigs and adjusting their loadout to their own playstyle. They’ll embrace high risks in pursuit of greater rewards, battling against other players, warring factions, and the relentless forces of nature. With today’s trailer Tar, the mysterious leader of the Reborn, calls players to pick up the fight against Rebirth and face the threat for humanity’s survival once again.

The playtest will begin on February 12th and it will last until February 17th. To celebrate this announcement, the team has also shared a new trailer that you can find below.

Brynley Gibson, the game’s Executive Producer, said:

“We’ve been conducting closed tests both online and in our studio for quite some time. But this marks our first large-scale test, and it’s an incredibly exciting milestone for us. By entering this stage of open collaboration with the community, we’re eager to gather invaluable insights and feedback that will drive us to elevate the game to new heights.”

Interestingly enough, the devs haven’t shared yet Exoborne’s PC system requirements. From what I know, the game uses Unreal Engine 5. However, there is no word on whether it supports Nanite or Lumen.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
