BeastLink is a giant multiplayer Kaiju experience from the devs behind GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition
by John Papadopoulos · DSOGamingGrove Street Games, the studio behind GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, has just revealed its new game. Titled BeastLink, this is a third-person multiplayer game in which you fight huge monsters/kaiju.
BeastLink is a brand new experience where humans, vehicles, and colossal Beasts collide in fully destructible cities at unprecedented scale. Players will fight their way through war-torn urban cities, amass the coveted serum, and use it to Link with towering Beasts. Each Beast will have its own unique abilities and combat styles.
You can play as either a human or a beast across multiple game modes, both solo and with other players. You’ll also be able to deploy vehicles, including cars, helicopters, tanks, and aircraft, to unleash chaos and bring entire structures crashing down.
One of the biggest features of BeastLink is its destruction system. Players will be able to smash skyscrapers, obliterate city blocks, and reshape the city skyline. The game will be using Grove Street Games’ proprietary “SuperDestruction” tech. According to the devs, this is a groundbreaking destruction system where everything can be reduced to dust.
Groove Street Games has also shared the game’s PC requirements. To run it, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-6400 or an AMD Ryzen 5 1500X with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or an AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. The devs recommend using an Intel i7-8700 or an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with 32GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 or an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT.
It’s also worth noting that BeastLink will require an Epic account. This suggests that the game is likely built on Unreal Engine 5. The trailer certainly gives off strong UE5 vibes. There are also some noticeable slowdowns. However, given the amount of on-screen destruction, it’s understandable. Overall, I really like what I see here. It’s been a while since we got a game with this kind of destruction.
Although there is no ETA for when the game will come out, we do know that there will be a closed beta test on May 8. Moreover, the game will first hit Steam Early Access. According to the devs, it will remain in Early Access until Summer 2027.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
