Blake Lively's 'Angry Husband' Ryan Reynolds Scolded Justin Baldoni 'Like A 5-Year-Old' Over 'Creepy' Behavior, Texts Claim!
by Perez Hilton · Perez HiltonJustin Baldoni‘s texts reveal more details about the alleged heated confrontation with Blake Lively‘s very pissed off husband, Ryan Reynolds!
Amid the ongoing legal battle between the feuding It Ends With Us co-stars, a new court filing exposed some of his private messages, including ones he sent to pal Rainn Wilson about his nasty feud. According to court documents obtained by People on Thursday, the filmmaker reached out to The Office actor on January 5, 2024, the day after an intense meeting at the couple’s apartment in New York City that left him rattled. This also happened right before filming was set to resume after the strikes.
As you may recall, Justin previously claimed in his now-dismissed New York Times lawsuit that the Deadpool star became very “aggressive” and lit into him for “fat-shaming” Blake while their celeb pals were coming and going from the place. He allegedly asked their personal trainer how much the actress weighed because he didn’t want to worsen a back injury when he had to lift her for a scene. However, word got back to Ryan about his question. And when The Proposal alum found out, he was not happy about it and confronted Justin.
The Jane The Virgin alum said in the message that her hubby “ambushed” him with allegations, writing:
“Ryan was talking to me like a five-year-old and scolding me. They essentially said that Jamey [Heath] and I are not who we claimed to be and that for us to have a podcast is unsafe because it makes people feel like we are safe.”
Justin wrote that during the meeting, Ryan read from a phone a list of accusations, which were loosely based on events but “taken completely out of context.” Per the text, the 49-year-old actor threw out words like “creepy” and “abuse” to describe Justin’s behavior. A text said:
“We were told this was the worst experience of her life. And others have witnessed this behavior… the behavior on our set was creepy.”
He also received a written apology to read aloud, but he refused to do it. Justin did not get into details about what the apology said, but Blake and Ryan pulled this move before! Remember that wild note they wanted him to use to take full responsibility for all the bad press following the film’s release? You can read it HERE!
Justin went on to write that the confrontation with the Free Guy star left him “emotionally paralyzed” and unable to find the right words to say in the moment:
“It’s hard to feel so much of what they believe about me is false because they are so convinced that it’s real. … I was emotionally paralyzed, which is something I haven’t experienced in years. My brain was struggling because what I wanted to say and do was run and blow this whole movie up because I feel this was so unjust. And yet, the only path forward was to acknowledge her and Ryan’s feelings and apologize and take the wrath of an angry husband — yeah, I couldn’t even do that correctly. I prayed and prayed and prayed for the words and they didn’t come, so I felt abandoned by God in that moment — even though I know that’s not what happened.”
Oof…
Rainn is also of the Baha’i religion, hence the context of the discussion here. Presumably it’s also why he felt he should open up about all this, to find his footing in his faith. Doesn’t seem like it helped in the end.
At this time, Blake and Ryan have not reacted to the texts. But what are your thoughts, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments!
