Sartorially speaking, there are few rules on the Grammys red carpet. It’s a place where artists can wear elegant gowns or bespoke denim, a tuxedo or a suit jacket with a hoodie underneath. You can arrive inside an egg (as Lady Gaga once did) or wear a small castle as a headpiece (donned by Jaden Smith last year). Some have tried to wear virtually nothing at all. It turns out that may not be allowed.

On what’s known as music’s biggest night, many will be keeping a sharp eye out for Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican superstar who is nominated for six Grammys, including record of the year — and who is known to turn risk-taking looks playing with masculine expression. Already, artists like Addison Rae, in a plunging white Alaïa dress, Sabrina Carpenter, looking statuesque in a beaded Valentino gown, and Tyla, in a slinky DSquared2 look replete with feathers, have made an impression.
