The full cast of Euphoria has been officially confirmed, with a spate of fresh faces joining the hit drama for its third season.

The long-awaited third season of the hit HBO teen drama is due to arrive next spring, with filming reported to have begun in February. It had been scheduled to begin in late 2023, but was halted due to the Hollywood strikes and the unexpected death of star Angus Cloud.

The Sam Levinson-created show is notable for having launched the careers of several actors that have since become significant stars, including ZendayaSydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer and Jacob Elordi.

Today (October 17), HBO announced a slew of returning and new cast additions who’ll be joining them in the third instalment. Among the new cast members are Bella Podaras, Bill Bodner, Cailyn Rice, Colleen Camp, Eli Roth, Gideon Adlon, Hemky Madera, Homer Gere, Jack Topalian, Jessica Blair Herman, Kwame Patterson, Madison Thompson, Matthew Willig, Natasha Lyonne, Rebecca Pidgeon, Sam Trammell, Trisha Paytas and Danielle Deadwyler.

While details surrounding the new characters they’ll play remain under wraps, a first look photo of Deadwyler has been shared on social media.

Actors returning to the series include Alanna Ubach, Daeg Faerch, Melvin Bonez Estes , Paula Marshall, Sophia Rose Wilson, Zak Steiner and Dominic Fike.

Another notable return comes from Nika King, who didn’t appear on HBO’s initial season three cast list back in February. King plays Rue’s (Zendaya) mother Leslie, and made headlines after quipping in a stand up set that production delays on the show meant she couldn’t pay her rent.

She will join previously announced newcomers Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Kadeem Hardison, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Anna Van Patten and Asante Blackk.

The full cast list arrives after the chairman and CEO of HBO and Max Content, Casey Bloys, spoke to Variety about the network’s raft of hit shows recently, with the third season of Euphoria one of their most anticipated. When asked when it will air, the executive said: “It’ll be the spring, but we don’t have a date confirmed yet.”

Information has slowly been coming through about the new season, with Sweeney teasing in May that it will be “more unhinged” than ever. Her co-star Elordi revealed many of the cast are filming scenes apart, saying of their storylines: “I don’t really know what anyone else is doing. It’s all quite separate.”

In July, HBO announced via the official Euphoria Twitter/X account that Hans Zimmer would be working on the upcoming third season alongside composer-producer Labrinth, who worked on the hit show’s first two seasons.

Following today’s update, the official X/Twitter account shared a post from the musician, who said: “Another chapter in the Euphoria universe! So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season.”
