Resorts World Genting To Ring In Christmas And New Year With Twin Countdown Celebrations

Roll into the new year at the Arena of Stars with performances by local talents including Canto-rap crew ManHanD and more.

Resorts World Genting (RWG) is inviting visitors to usher in the festive season with two nights of music, dance and high-energy entertainment at its Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve countdown events.

Taking place on 24 and 31 December at the Arena of Stars, the celebrations promise a vibrant mix of live performances, DJs and visual effects. Guests who prefer to celebrate outdoors can also catch a live feed of the shows at Madison Square.

The Christmas Eve countdown on 24 December will be hosted by Emcee Khye, whose upbeat and engaging style sets the tone for the night. The programme features performances by Malaysian artistes Vanessa Reynauld, Ronnie Jupiter and Angela Ong, each bringing their own vocal flair to the stage. The trio will return later in the evening for special performances and a festive medley of iconic Christmas songs.

The night will culminate in a high-energy countdown led by DJ Blink, complete with pyrotechnics, lasers and 3D graphics, creating a lively atmosphere as Christmas Day approaches.

On New Year’s Eve, 31 December, Emcee Dr Shaun Stephen will take over hosting duties, guiding the crowd through a night of performances by local talents including Canto-rap crew ManHanD, Juztin Lan, KAIA Lee and Tan Yin Ern. The celebrations will peak with a headline set by Singapore-based DJ Wukong, known for his festival-style, high-intensity performances, before continuing into the early moments of the new year with an after-party set.

Both countdown events are ticketed with free seating. Tickets can be redeemed through the PMP campaign or collected on event day at the redemption counter on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the Arena of Stars reaches full capacity, guests will be redirected to Madison Square. Last entry is at 11pm, subject to operational adjustments.

Beyond the countdowns, RWG is also rolling out a wide range of festive dining and party options across the resort. Coffee Terrace will be offering Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve buffet dinners on 24 and 31 December, priced at RM128 per adult and RM78 per child, with a RM10 discount for bookings made via i-Holidays. Buffet lunch will also be available on 25 December and 1 January at RM108 per adult and RM68 per child.

For a more upscale dining experience, Park Avenue Restaurant will present specially curated festive menus, including a four-course dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and a three-course menu on New Year’s Eve, each priced at RM250 per person and served with a festive cocktail or mocktail. Trattoria Il Lago will also join the celebrations with Christmas and New Year set menus priced at RM118 per set.

As the night progresses, venues such as Park Avenue Lounge, Cloud 9, Empire and Red Tail will keep the party atmosphere alive with themed celebrations, party packs and beverage promotions. Festive drinks like the Christmas Sunrise and Pink Remedy will also be available throughout the season.
