Nintendo Switch 2 First Look Trailer Released!

by · eTeknix

It’s official, Nintendo has revealed the Nintendo Switch 2, and it’s exactly what we all expected. It’s bigger, faster (obviously), and just a bit nicer overall. “Introducing Nintendo Switch 2, the successor to Nintendo Switch, releasing in 2025.” is just about the only thing Nintendo has told us about it thus far, but it’s clear that more details are to follow. While a lot has leaked, such as the size, shape, ports, PCB, chipset, screen and even the entire console on the Chinese black-market, this is the first official thing we’ve seen.

You can play Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games, as well as Nintendo Switch games, on Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo Switch 2 plays both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games. Certain Nintendo Switch games may not be supported on or fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2. Details will be shared on the Nintendo website at a later date. Nintendo Switch Online members can continue using the service on Nintendo Switch 2.

There’s a new and improved design, of course, with a new stand design, which looks a lot more robust. There are Type-C ports on the top and bottom, likely to accommodate peripherals while also allowing for charging of the device.

As well as a new magnetic locking controller design, hopefully, they’ve fixed the stick drift, but we’ll have to wait until the 2nd of April for the next Nintendo Direct to find out. I can’t wait!

Check out the trailer below!

Watch till the end too, as it appears to show a new Mario Kart too, I can’t wait to play that!
