Nadine Coyle says her parenting style changes all of the time now her daughter Anaíya is getitng older.
The Girls Aloud star shares her 11-year-old child with ex partner Jason Bell and says she has learned so much about herself, and life, since becoming a mum.
Although Anaíya can be "sassy", Nadine says she is her best friend.

She told OK! Magazine : "One thing is not to be offended – kids will just tell you how it is! I wouldn’t want to repeat some of the things Anaíya has said about me. I wasn’t even insecure about certain things until they were pointed right out.
"But she’s like a little best friend. I don’t know what I did with my time before she was born. I need a detailed analysis, because I have no idea. Where was I? What was I doing?"
Nadine's style of parenting changes all the time as she learns how to guide her daughter through life.
She added: "[Anaíya] was very sassy this morning, for instance. She had a school trip and she did not want the packed lunch I’d made. Then she said, 'If you tell me to hurry up, I’m actually going to go slower.' But I remember being her age, so I think it’s about letting her find her way and supporting her to be herself.
"I’m not trying to say, 'You have to do this.' I’m more of a guide – like a… bodyguard who occasionally offers advice... if she wants to take it."
Nadine has been a pop sensation since she was 17 years old, and sometimes Anaíya wants to follow in her footsteps.
She said: "She really enjoys singing in the choir and doing plays. But she also wants to be a travel photographer. We went to Japan last year because she absolutely loves everything Japanese. I try to expose her to everything. She loved coming to the Girls Aloud tour last year, too."
Given her years in the industry, the Derry native has plenty of advice to offer her daughter:
"She auditioned for a play, recently. I told her, 'Nerves are natural. It’s good to care. Be prepared, but not too rehearsed. You want it to feel natural.' I’ve done auditions like that, so I can help with those things."
Nadine added she would support Anaíya if she wished to become a singer like her mum.
She continued: "I feel like I came out of it unscathed. So I’d just have to be her mum-ager and go everywhere with her – then she’d be fine! I would fully support that."
