Fans and friends lined the churchyard to pay tribute to the talented 31 year old, who touched their lives and hearts.
Liam and Cheryl first met on The X Factor back in 2008, but romance didn’t blossom between them for another eight years.
In March 2016, they officially announced their relationship, and later on that year, they welcomed their son Bear. In July 2018, they officially announced their breakup.
Liam said: “Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It’s been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together.”

However, they remained co-parents to Bear and always had positive things to say about each other.
Back in June 2022, Liam opened up about his involvement in Bear's life. He told the Impaulsive podcast that Cheryl “gives me full autonomy of my own life to be able to go and do what I do, and at the same time I know [Bear] is being taken care of because he is all she cares about.
He added: “I love to take my son to school, it’s so much fun and I know he loves it too. The other day he was asleep, and his mum said to him ‘morning sunshine’. And then my deep voice came in saying ‘morning’ and he went ‘huh!’
“And he went ‘wow daddy, that was the biggest surprise of my life, you being here today’. That’s the best s***t, taking care of him and watching him grow.”
