The pair can be seen sailing on a boat during sunset as Moya shows off her beautiful diamond ring.
The caption simply read the date of the engagement: "29.06.25".
It wasn't long before Matthew and Moya were flooded with well wishes.
"Wow wow congrats guys!! So happy for you both," one person wrote underneath.
"Huge congrats to ye both," said another.
While a third follower gushed: "Congratulations guys!! So exciting!"
The happy news comes not too long after another engagement within Mayo GAA.
Football captain Paddy Durcan popped the question to his wife-to-be Alannah just last week.
In a double whammy of good news for the couple, Paddy proposed to Alannah just as they moved into their new home.
Pictures shared on Instagram show the pair posing outside their beautiful new home, as well as balloons and candles from the spot where Paddy proposed in their kitchen.
The bride-to-be wrote: "What a way to top off our first night in our new home. Here's to forever with my best friend."
Fellow footballer Aidan O'Shea said: "Massive congrats guys! Enjoy the celebrations!"
While Lee Keegan added: "Class news!"
Rob Hennelly and Diarmuid O'Connor also sent their best wishes, while Galway players Shane Walsh and Damien Comer congratulated the couple as well.
The good news after another yet another frustrating year for Mayo football.
After losing at home to Cavan, it looked like the team were set to qualify from their All-Ireland group after equalising at 70 minutes against Donegal.
But unfortunately for the, they conceded a winning point with the last kick of the game and got knocked out of the Championship.
