Beyond Paradise season 3 episode 3 cast as This Country and Holby City stars join series
by Katie Palmer · DevonLiveBBC One's Beyond Paradise is back with a thrilling new episode in its third season, where three customers are poisoned after sampling confectionery at a chocolate shop. The task of determining whether the chocolatier was framed or if she was behind the attack falls on DI Humphrey Goodman, portrayed by Kris Marshall.
With no trace of poison found in the remaining chocolates, the team is left to figure out how the culprit ensured the victims ate the right ones. As public panic begins to rise, the team must swiftly uncover the truth.
The third episode sees all main cast members returning, including Sally Bretton as Martha Lloyd, who continues to struggle with her foster child, Rosie, played by Bella Rei Blue Stevenson.
DS Esther Williams (Zahra Ahmadi) and Archie Hughes (Jamie Bamber) continue to explore their potential romantic relationship, while Zoe Williams (Melina Sinadinou) supports Anne Lloyd (Barbara Flynn) through her health scare.

Reverend Kate - Chizzy Akudolu
Chizzy Akudolu, a 51 year old British actress and comedian known for her first TV appearance in 15 Storeys High, will be playing Reverend Kate. While her career has largely been centred around children's TV, she has also taken on roles in Holby City and Kate and Koji. She was previously married to computer engineer Henry Anang until 2000.
Kenny Pluckley - Brandon Fellows
Kenny Pluckley is portrayed by Brandon Fellows, a 30 year old English actor recognised for his roles in Raised by Wolves, The Stranger and Dead Hot. He has also had minor parts in Doctors, Upstart Crow and Casualty.
Gabriella Dalmori - Alicia Charles
Gabriella Dalmori is played by Alicia Charles, an English actress who has featured in popular shows like Holby City, Casualty, Father Brown and Doctors. In 2023, she landed a leading role as Hazel in Phoenix Rise, spanning all four seasons. Her acting journey began in Coronation Street right after school.
Sherie Howard - Holly Atkins
Sherie Howard is brought to life by Holly Atkins, a 52 year old actress primarily known for her stage performances but has also appeared in hit TV series such as This Country, Call the Midwife, Wallander and Residents.
Martin Gaffney - Matthew Gravelle
Martin Gaffney is enacted by Matthew Gravelle, a 48 year old Welsh actor celebrated for his roles in Holby City, Torchwood and Belonging. He later starred as gangster Lyn Edwards in the Welsh-language television series Y Pris.
Interestingly, he is married to Welsh actress Mali Harries, and they have often played each other's on-screen partners in several TV shows.
Dr Lionel Jennings - Abdul Salis
Dr Lionel Jennings is played by Abdul Salis, a 45 year old British actor best known for his role as paramedic Curtis Cooper on Casualty. His other TV credits include Doctor Who, Father Brown, Hard Cell and The Wheel of Time.
Lizzie Dyer - Bebe Sanders
Lizzie Dyer is portrayed by Bebe Sanders, a Bristol Old Vic Theatre School graduate who made her television debut in Doctors and starred in the TV movie, The Best of Men.
Dr Hodges - Syreeta Kumar
Dr Hodges is played by British actress Syreeta Kumar, known for her role as DC Leslie in Coronation Street, where she investigated the Rovers' fire that claimed the life of firefighter Toni Griffiths. She has recently appeared in DI Ray, Fool Me Once, and Doctors, with film credits including Notes on a Scandal and I Came By.
Monica Grey - Lauren Vandike
Monica Grey is brought to life by Lauren Vandike, who first appeared on television in the series Poldark as Beth Daniel. She has since portrayed various characters in Rosamunde Pilcher.
