Claudia Winkleman reveals new 'love of her life' - and it's not her husband

Claudia Winkleman has shared her affection for the latest "love" in her life - and it's not her film producer spouse.

During an episode of the Where There's A Will, There's A Wake podcast, The Traitors host confided in Kathy Burke about a recent addition to her family that she's completely "in love with".

The Strictly Come Dancing presenter revealed that she's so attached to the new family member that she's been known to sing them a "lullaby'. But it would appear that her husband, Kris Thykier, thinks it's all a bit "much".

Claudia revealed: "So, I've recently got a dog, who I am in love with. I mean, I'm gonna bore you till your ears bleed. The two [children] have left home; I didn't know what to do. I thought I might steal a baby, so instead, I got a dog who I treat like...I mean, I don't put him in clothes but I didn't know.

"I've never had a dog before or any form of animal, but this little dog, who I open his mouth and insert my tongue. I do."

Claudia then likened herself to the "old, orange lady" from the 1998 comedy film, There's Something About Mary, presumably referring to a character who lets her pet dog lick her face.

She continued: "Anyway, so I love Skip, love of my life. I look for toys for him; I stroke his ears. Sometimes, I've been known to sing him a lullaby. My husband was like, 'This is too much,'" reports Lancs Live.

Earlier in the month, Claudia featured in an endearing TikTok video alongside Kris and their three offspring, Jake, Matilda, and Arthur, enjoying a playful celebration of their family dog's faux admission to Harvard.

During the clip, the iconic host was seen clutching the paws of the canine while peering into a laptop screen with her family, all acting out a scene where they anxiously anticipated good news before erupting into jubilant cheers.

In the caption accompanying the video, Claudia's daughter, Matilda penned: "Pretending our dog got into harvard cuz why not'".(sic)
