BBC The Graham Norton Show's replacement host confirmed as star takes break
by Danni King · DevonLiveTV personality Graham Norton has shared with his viewers that he will be taking a break from his eponymous talk show this coming February. The announcement came during the broadcast of The Graham Norton Show on BBC One on Friday 10 January.
The renowned 61 year old presenter is off to Australia in the upcoming month to embark on his first-ever live tour down under, titled An Evening with Graham Norton. He will entertain audiences in cities such as Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, and Melbourne throughout March. His show promises a blend of humorous anecdotes, career reflections, and an interactive Q&A session.
During his brief hiatus, another much-loved BBC presenter, Claudia Winkleman, is set to step into his shoes for the 28 February edition of The Graham Norton Show. In response to Graham's gratitude for her guest hosting, Claudia jokingly responded: "I apologise in advance!"
Claudia was amongst the stars joining Graham on the 10 January episode, appearing alongside Myles Smith, Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, and Billy Porter. She seized the opportunity to discuss the new series of The Traitors, which hit the screens on 1 January, reports the Mirror.
"I am always very nervous that people aren't watching and then incredibly grateful that they are. I feel about Traitors like people feel about an offspring you're so glad when people love it. I can't say much but the producers are so clever and there are lots of twists and turns coming," she confessed to Graham.
Claudia's unique style has become a major talking point on The Traitors, with her winter wardrobe choices hitting all the right notes. She disclosed to Graham that Royal figures have influenced her distinctive looks for the show's third series.
She shared with Graham: "We always like to have a muse for Strictly it has been Anita Dobson and this year it was Demis Roussos. For Traitors it's Princess Anne meets Sarah Brightman. We've already decided on next year's I'll be dressing as Gerald from Clarkson's Farm!"
The Traitors burst onto the scene on BBC One in 2022, quickly garnering a dedicated following. Its second series saw even greater success, setting the stage for an even more thrilling third series, which is currently airing on BBC One.
The Graham Norton Show airs on BBC One on Friday 10th January 10.40pm. Also available on BBC iPlayer.
