Lorraine Kelly issues update on quitting England with daughter and says 'eventually'

She discussed this and other personal aspects of her life in an intimate conversation with The People's Friend Special.
At 65, Lorraine is contemplating her connection to Scotland and what lies ahead. She recounted a discussion she had with her daughter Rosie about the idea of moving back home.
She said: "Rosie and I were talking about it the other day and we think we'll eventually all end up coming back to Scotland. I miss Dundee a lot. Rosie loved it there and still does."
Lorraine also gave insight into her close relationship with her daughter Rosie, who has recently embraced motherhood. A trip to Orkney became a memorable one when Rosie shared the news of her pregnancy: "My daughter, Rosie, came with me, and it was during that trip she told me she was pregnant. It was the best, so exciting, but I couldn't tell anyone because it was so early on."
Amid the excitement of just having launched a debut novel, 'The Island Swimmer', which has seen considerable success, Lorraine teased fans about the potential of a second book underway, reports the Daily Record.
Taking to Instagram to celebrate her first novel's success, she shared a post from Orkney, alongside friend Nick, captioning it: "Celebrating in Orkney with my lovely pal Nick when my first novel The Island Swimmer became a best seller this year!"
Lorraine extended a hearty thank you to her supporters, remarking: "THANK YOU to everyone who bought the book - I have been overwhelmed by your lovely comments - it's on offer right now if you need a wee extra Xmas pressie. I'm working hard on the follow up!"
As she reflected on her distinguished 40-year tenure in television, Lorraine has truly become one of the UKs cherished figures.
Speaking with The Yorkshire Post, she mulled over her future and the concept of ageing, confessing: "I'd like to keep on doing my show for as long as people want to watch. I'd like to keep on doing my show for as long as people want to watch."
Further discussing her career, Lorraine mused: "I didn't expect to still be here (on television) at 65, but I am so happy to be doing the job I love after 40 years. It's wonderful and it's down to all the fantastic people I have worked with, my top team and the viewers who have been so loyal and shown me such support."
She laid bare her stance on ageing, saying: "I think age is just a number I am lucky to be surrounded at work by a young enthusiastic team who are fantastic and they keep me young. I eat what I like and I walk my wee dog and try to keep as healthy as possible."
