Strictly Come Dancing confirms return of pro and two new dancers for 2025 series

Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to our screens this Autumn, bringing with it a new series brimming with entertainment, laughter, and an abundance of dancing for UK audiences.

The previous series emerged as the BBC's most successful unscripted series in 2024, with the main show averaging 8.8m viewers throughout its run, peaking at a remarkable 10.1m viewers for the final episode.

Set to grace the dance floor once again are the much-loved professional dancers Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Jowita Przystal.

Also returning are Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas, and Vito Coppola.

And, Amy Dowden will be back on the series after she had to drop out half-way through the previous season.

Additionally, there will be two fresh faces joining the lineup of professionals, with their identities to be revealed closer to the show's premiere.

BBC Studios Executive Producer Sarah James shared her anticipation for the forthcoming series: "The excitement is already building ahead of the new series and in addition to welcoming back our fantastic returning Pros.

"We are looking forward to welcoming two brand new Professional Dancers to the line up who will help bring another unforgettable series of dazzling dance and loads more besides to viewers later in 2025."

Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, remarked: "The Strictly Professional Dancers are the beating heart of the programme, showcasing to viewers in every corner of the UK their world class talent by lighting up the famous Strictly ballroom every Saturday and Sunday night. Here's to another fab-u-lous series!"

Additionally, all of the Professional Dancers will not only compete but will also treat the audience to memorable group routines every week.

"Coupled with top-notch music acts, themed weeks and, naturally, the eagerly awaited annual jaunt to the quintessential Tower Ballroom in Blackpool, the show assures fans yet another dazzling season.

More information on the eagerly anticipated series, such as the celebrity line-up, will be disclosed in the approaching months as Strictly Come Dancing gears up for its grand return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in Autumn 2025.
