Liam Neeson is setting the record straight on whether he's anti-vax after narrating a controversial new documentary.

The film, Plague of Corruption: 80 Years of Pharmaceutical Corruption Exposed, is based on a book by Judy Mikovits — a former research scientist known for making baseless medical claims, including that face masks activate COVID-19 — and science teacher Kent Heckenlively, who has reportedly described himself as the "world's No 1 anti-vaxxer."

The documentary discusses long-disproven ideas, including the false claim that there's a link between vaccines and autism, and features an interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has a long history of spreading medical misinformation.
At one point, Liam's narration reportedly describes the COVID-19 vaccines as “dangerous experiments” and says "thousands of lives were lost, not to the virus, but to the mental anguish" caused by "harsh" lockdown restrictions.

However, Liam says his involvement in the documentary doesn't mean he's anti-vax. In a statement to the Guardian and Entertainment Weekly, his representative denied that he is "anti-vaccination."

"We all recognize that corruption can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be conflated with opposition to vaccines," the statement read. "Liam never has been, and is not, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with Unicef underscores his long-held support for global immunization and public-health initiatives."

The statement also noted, "He did not shape the film's editorial content, and any questions about its claims or messaging should be directed to the producers."

In 2022, Liam – a global ambassador for Unicef — led its initiative for World Immunization Week. In a video, he thanked scientists, health workers, and others for their part in helping to vaccinate "billions of children" over the years. "Vaccines are a remarkable human success story," he said. "If you’ve ever been vaccinated, or vaccinated your children, then you are part of the arm-to-arm chain that keeps all humanity safe."
