Matt Bellamy is the frontman, guitarist, and primary songwriter of British rock band Muse, known for his operatic vocals and genre-blending albums. He began dating American model and singer Elle Evans in 2015 after meeting on the set of a music video. The pair got engaged in 2017 and married in August 2019. The duo even share two children.

Matt Bellamy and Elle Evans separated a year before the former filed for divorce

Matt Bellamy, frontman of Muse, and Elle Evans, model, actress and musician, first met on the set of Muse’s 2015 music video for Drill Sergeant and began dating that year. In December 2017, Bellamy popped the question to Evans. At the time, Bellamy was already father to son Bingham, born in 2011 with actress Kate Hudson. Bellamy and Evans tied the knot on August 10, 2019, in Italy. The couple later had two children. They welcomed a daughter named Lovella in 2020, followed by a son named George in 2024.

For several years, they maintained a low-key family life in California, making occasional public appearances and sharing family photos. In May 2025, they were seen together celebrating George’s 2nd birthday and posed for family photos with Lovella.

Reports of the duo’s split also emerged later in 2025, and Matt Bellamy confirmed the news in June 2026. During an interview with i Paper, he revealed that they had separated in 2025. He described the situation as difficult to explain, noting it involved circumstances that were not typical. He said the situation had caught him off guard and that he needed to focus on caring for the children and maintain stability at home.

Bellamy also said he put what he was going through into Muse’s 10th album, The Wow! Signal, released on June 26, 2026. He described the songwriting as coming out easily and said it served as a lifeline and a form of catharsis during a life-changing period.

On August 12, 2026, Bellamy filed for divorce from Evans in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. He requested sole legal and physical custody of Lovella and George, and asked that spousal support be handled according to their prenuptial agreement.

Elle Evans has had a successful career as a model over the years

Elle Evans has pursued a successful journey as an actress and model for a long time. She signed with major agencies and worked with brands across fashion, swimwear, and beauty. Evans appeared in campaigns for Guess and became one of the faces associated with the brand’s retro-glam aesthetic. 

She also modeled for Victoria’s Secret, Intimissimi, and other lingerie and swim labels. Her print work includes magazine covers and editorials in Maxim, Esquire, GQ, Vogue Mexico, and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. She was named Maxim’s Hometown Hotties winner and later featured as a Maxim cover model, which helped boost her visibility in the 2010s.

Elle Evans even transitioned into acting with roles in film and TV, including appearances in The Nice Guys, The Binge, and guest spots on series like NCIS and Dave.
