Ranbir's 'Ramayana' V/s Prabhas' 'Adipurush', Netizens Compare And Say, 'This Is How Its Done..'

As Ranbir Kapoor and Yash starrer 'Ramayan's first look has been launched, netizens are comparing it to Prabhas' 'Adipurush'.

The first look of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana was recently launched and has already gone viral, featuring glimpses of Ranbir Kapoor as 'Lord Ram' and Yash as 'Ravan'. Meanwhile, the teaser also mentioned that Sai Pallavi will be playing the role of 'Goddess Sita' and Ravi Dubey will be seen as 'Lakshman'. However, the first look of this Ramayana, has got people talking about another re-telling of the Hindu epic released in 2023. That is Prabhas starrer Adipurush, directed by Om Raut. Netizens have compared the visual effects and the star casts of both films. 

Netizens compare Ramayana's first look with Adipurush 

After the first glimpse of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana was released, people heaped praises on the background score composed by ace Indian music director, A.R. Rahman and two-time Oscar-winning composer, Hans Zimmer. The VFX, special effects and the looks of the characters was also highly appreciated by fans. Now, netizens have flooded social media with memes, comparing the upcoming Ramayana with Om Raut's Adipurush starring Prabhas. Especially the VFX work which viewers found to be quite shoddy for the latter film. 

One X user commented, "Om Raut and Prabhas should take lessons from Nitesh Tiwari and Ranbir Kapoor". While another commenter penned down, "Om Raut, this is what we expected from you". Similar comments were seen all over X which tagged Adipurush director, Om Raut and trolled him to learn from the upcoming Ramayana's director, Nitesh Tiwari. It is also interesting to note that Om was invited to PVR Imax, Mumbai, by the film team to watch the premiere of Ramayana's glimpse. Memes have also surfaced on social media, assuming his reaction to the highly praised first look of the film. 

Adipurush trolled by fans again 

Released in 2023, Adipurush starred Prabhas as 'Lord Ram', Kriti Sanon as 'Goddess Sita' and Saif Ali Khan as 'Ravan'. There were high hopes for the movie, especially given its promotion as a visual masterpiece. However, after the film's release, viewers found it lacking in many aspects, especially in terms of visual effects and dialogue. After immense trolling on its release, Adipurush and its director, Om Raut, are being trolled again. One netizen wrote on X:

"I always found the Adipurush project very suspicious. Like how can you make a film that's a disaster in every possible department. screenplay, visuals, dialogues, costume design, action, presentation..everything? There's no way a project this big with this many people involved."

However, after the disastrous performance of Adipurush, despite the promises of delivering a masterpiece re-telling, many people are sceptical about the upcoming Ramayana as well. One X user prasied the film's first look and said, "This is how it is DONE ! #OmRaut. You don't even have an idea what you lost with #Prabhas's Adipurush". However, many people replied to the praise and cautioned against jumping to conclusions too early, as Adipurush's teaser had also been well-received, but the film ultimately turned out to be lacklustre in comparison.
