The Bigg Boss 19 grand finale began with celebrations, until it turned into one of the most emotional moments in the show's history. Salman Khan, the long-time host, broke down on stage as he paid a deep, heartfelt tribute to the late Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24, 2025. Amid the tribute, the audience fell silent, contestants stood frozen, and viewers witnessed a rare moment where Salman opened up about his screen idol in an honest way.

Bigg Boss 19's finale briefly paused its competitive energy as the makers played a special montage honouring the legendary appearances of Dharmendra and memories on the show with Salman over the years. The video captured Dharmendra's timeless charm, warm humour, and an emotional connection with Salman Khan. The Dabangg actor became visibly emotional, and his voice broke as he watched the clips

After the tribute video ended, Salman Khan's eyes welled up with tears, and his voice trembled as he spoke about He-Man. Salman shared how Dharmendra has stood by the Bigg Boss family for years, either through his appearances, messages, or special segments. He explained how Dharmendra had an unmatched dedication to his work and had an illustrious career spanning 60 years, during which he played a wide range of roles. In his words:

“Unhone apni zindagi king size jee. Sixty years of entertainment diya hai. There is no man better than Dharamji."

Salman calls Dharmendra's prayer meet one of the most dignified ones

Furthermore, Salman Khan recalled the prayer meet hosted by the Deol family on November 27, 2025, and described it as "one of the most dignified and graceful gatherings" he had ever attended. He praised Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol for conducting the ceremony with utmost respect and composure. At the same time, he recalled how the atmosphere reflected Dharmendra's warmth and simplicity. Moreover, Salman recalled that he had only seen two prayer meetings conducted with such deep dignity: the first was for Sooraj Barjatya's mom, Sudha, and now It was for Dharmendra. Sharing his views, Salman said:

"Bohot hi pyaara, bohot hi shareef tarike se sab rakha gaya. Sunny aur Bobby ne bahut dignity ke saath prayer meet sambhala. Dono jagah sab emotional the… but everything was done with so much grace."

Dharmendra Kewal Krishan Deol was born in Punjab in 1935 and began his journey in films by the early 1960s. He was the son of Kewal Krishan Singh Deol, a school headmaster, and his wife, Sawant Kaur. Dharmendra's natural acting and rugged good looks quickly made him one of Bollywood's biggest stars. Throughout his distinguished career, he appeared in over 300 films across multiple genres, including romantic dramas, action thrillers, and comedy films. One of his most iconic roles was 'Veeru' in Sholay in 1975. Beyond his on-screen roles, Dharmendra's humble nature, fun personality, and sincerity have earned him a permanent place in the hearts of fans.
