Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Hot-Air Balloon Festival to be extended by three days

It has been learned from the festival committee that the Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Hot-Air Balloon Festival will be extended for an additional three days.

A member of the committee stated that due to weather conditions, the festival will be extended by three days. The exact dates have not been fixed yet, but it is confirmed that it will be extended by three days.

"We don't know the specific dates yet, but it has been decided to extend it by three days. We are not sure if it will be the 5th, 6th, 7th or the 6th, 7th, 8th, but it has been decided to extend for three days. The balloons will be launched until they are all gone. Don't worry. They will be launched both day and night, without missing any sessions," said a committee member.

It is understood that the grand Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Hot-Air Balloon Festival has been unable to hold the nightly competitive balloon launches for three consecutive nights, from November 1 to 3, due to severe weather. Therefore, the three-day extension is to make up for those three missed nights.
