Tommy Lee Jones Has a Civil War ‘Stache in The Lowdown Season 2

Lee Raybon is back, and this time? He has daddy issues. Tommy Lee Jones has signed on for season 2 of The Lowdown, playing the estranged father of Lee (Ethan Hawke). The energy is bad between father and son, per the new trailer FX dropped today. “The conspiracy theorist rides again!” he yells incredulously in his son’s face. “He does,” Hawke replies back, much more solemnly. And fresh off her first Emmy win, Betty Gilpin is stopping over in Tulsa as well. She’ll be playing a public defender that has kind of flirty vibes. She’s also being followed by men trying to kill her, which is less flirty. Once again, Hawke’s “truthstorian” is pitting himself against those in power in Tulsa. This time, it involves the entire Sheriff’s Department. And the Sheriff’s Department involved Martha Plimpton, so that’s fun. The Lowdown season 2 premieres October 14 on FX and Hulu.
