Saturday Night Live Books Bad Bunny, Amy Poehler, and Sabrina Carpenter

Saturday Night Live’s historic season 50 is over and done, with the Emmy Award to prove it. Now the show must go on. With five cast members exiting before season 51 (including mainstays Ego Nwodim and Heidi Gardner) and five cast members added as featured players, this season of the show promises change. Luckily, an old friend is stopping by for the first episode of the season: Bad Bunny, who hosted episodes in both season 49 and 50, is returning to host the season premiere on October 4. He’ll be joined by Doja Cat as musical guest, promoting her upcoming album Vie, out September 26.

Then, podcast host (and former SNL cast member) Amy Poehler is going to be a good hang, hosting the October 11 episode. Poehler hasn’t hosted the show since 2015, when she co-hosted an episode with Tina Fey, and hasn’t hosted solo since 2010. Role Model will be the guest for her episode. The episode is set to be a landmark event; SNL premiered exactly 50 years prior on October 11, 1975. After that, another blonde beauty will take the stage. Singer and Muppet collaborator Sabrina Carpenter is doing double duty on October 18, hosting the show for the first time after performing “Nonsense” and “Feather” last season. Carpenter then joined Paul Simon onstage at the SNL50 special and sang wonderfully off-key in the final “Domingo.” She’s clearly Lorne’s best friend.

Below, find all the hosts and musical guests for season 51 of Saturday Night Live.
