Saddle Up CMA Awards, Taylor Swift Is Coming Back

She knew it; she knew you — you being the CMA Awards. Taylor Swift says she’s returning to the Country Music Association Awards after a ten-year break and thanked the organization for her most recent nomination. “LOOKS LIKE I HAVEN’T YEE’D MY LAST HAW THANK YOU CMA!!!! See you there Nov. 18 🤠,” Swift wrote on Instagram Stories on September 10. She was nominated for Single of the Year for “I Knew It, I Knew You,” the song she wrote for Toy Story 5 with Jack Antonoff. The song just hit no. 1 on US country radio over the weekend. “I love my country roots more and more the further along this path I get, and I want to honor them more and more,” Swift said at a special Grammy Museum presentation last month. “I feel more tied to them, more loyal to them … The people that shaped who I am as an artist and as a writer, that all happened in Nashville.”

This is the song’s first award nomination and her first fully country track since the original Red era. But it looks like it won’t be Swift’s last. Rumors have been brewing about the upcoming 20th anniversary of Swift’s debut re-release, but it hasn’t been confirmed. Swift said in a letter that she had already re-recorded her first album before she bought back her masters. Maybe she’s getting ready for a full-throttle country comeback.
