The Final Trailer for the Stranger Things Finale Is Here
by Jennifer Zhan · VULTURETen-year relationships are so in right now. In addition to being the duration of a certain heated hockey situationship, a decade is also roughly how long it’s been since the world fell in love with Stranger Things. But it’s finally time to break up — on December 30, Netflix dropped the last trailer for the season-five finale, which will also serve as the conclusion to the Duffer brothers’ hit series. The preview includes several flashback clips that remind us of just how young this cast was when the show started.
In present day, an emotional Hopper (David Harbour) reminds an equally teary-eyed Eleven (Millie Bobby Bongiovi) of her childhood trauma. “You’ve been attacked, manipulated by terrible people … but you never let it break you,” he says, urging her to fight for “a world beyond Hawkins” and “the days on the other side of this.” Is that Vecna behind Hopper? Why is Dustin screaming and saying “mother of God”? Is Will going to talk about Tammy again? We’ll have 125 minutes to find out when the supersized Stranger Things finale premieres on December 31 at 8 p.m. ET on Netflix. (It’s also due to arrive in select theaters on the same day.) Here’s to hoping that the first feeling fans experience heading into 2026 isn’t disappointment.
