Sydney Sweeney’s Getting Trapped in Split Fiction
by Alejandra Gularte · VULTUREIf you weren’t able to get a pre-order in for the Nintendo Switch 2, maybe there’s another way to get your video game fix. Or at least have some good news to hold you over until the next shipment. Sydney Sweeney is reportedly starring in an upcoming adaptation of the game Split Fiction by Wicked director Jon M. Chu. However, it’s unclear what character she’ll play as the game has two female leads. Deadpool & Wolverine screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are writing the script, and the film will be produced by Mike Goldberg and Dmitri M. Johnson’s Story Kitchen, the same team who did the Sonic films. The co-op video game follows Zoe and Mio, two authors from completely different genres who get trapped in the worlds they’ve created. They have to work together using their unique skills from each genre, science fiction and fantasy, in order to break free. So basically, no matter what character Sweeney ends up playing, her web will connect them all.
