Carlie Cale lives! The Peacock series, starring Natasha Lyonne and created by mystery man Rian Johnson, was renewed for a second season — four episodes before season one even finishes. “Poker Face is one of those rare, undeniable shows that we all fell in love with from the start, but the critical acclaim and viewer response has been beyond our wildest dreams,” Susan Rovner, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming’s chair of entertainment content, said of the renewal. We’ve been given a few more clues about Poker Face season two. This season’s guest stars, include Davionte “GaTa” Ganter, Haley Joel Osment, John Cho, Justin Theroux, Patti Harrison, John Mulaney, Ego Nwodim, and Sam Richardson. They join Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Holmes, Gaby Hoffmann, Kumail Nanjiani, Sherry Cola, Kevin Corrigan, Ben Marshall, Kathrine Narducci, Cynthia Erivo, B.J. Novak, and Margo Martindale. When is Poker Face season two coming out, and what will it look like?

As far as the release date goes, Peacock still isn’t fully showing its hand … but at least we finally know which season we’ll be getting this new season. Poker Face will return in spring 2025. In a joint statement, Johnson and Lyonne said that 12 killer new episodes will have Charlie Cale solving murder mysteries everywhere from “minor-league baseball to big-box retail, from funeral homes to alligator farms and even a grade-school talent show.” The duo noted that they pulled visual inspiration from American cinema in the ’70s that they love from the likes of Robert Altman, Bob Rafelson, and Peter Bogdanovich. “But the backbone of this show is TV — the kind of TV we grew up watching, episodic case-of-the-week gems like Columbo and The Rockford Files and Quantum Leap,” they added. “Each episode is a mini movie, existing in its own world with a unique tone and vibe, featuring an eccentric lot of characters played by a truly gonzo parade of guest stars.” Shuffle through the first-looks below to get a taste of what’s in the cards this spring.
