Robbie Keane was among those in attendance for Liam Payne's funeral, with the One Direction star laid to rest on Wednesday.

Payne passed away last month in Argentina and a number of well known faces attended his funeral to pay their respects.

Among those was football star Robbie Keane. The Ireland legend and Payne both became friends while competing in the SoccerAid fundraiser.

The girlfriend of Liam Payne, Kate Cassidy, was one of the first to arrive for his funeral. She was pictured outside the church dressed in black and wearing sunglasses. and accompanied by actor and model Damian Hurley.

Girls Aloud singers Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh were also seen being dropped off in front of the church’s entrance wearing long black coats and sunglasses.

All four surviving members of One Direction were in attendance.

It is the first time the band has reunited in nine years, with the four stars - Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan - pictured at the church in the Home Counties.

Days after the tragedy, Liam's bandmates came together for the first time in years to share their joint shock and upset at the news. Sharing their "complete devastation" over his death, they said: "The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever."

In a statement signed "Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry", Liam Payne's One Direction bandmates said: "We're completely devastated by the news of Liam's passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.

"The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam."
