Joe Exotic has been married twice. In 2021, his ex-husband, Dillon Passage, confirmed he was divorcing the Netflix star after three years of marriage.

“Yes, Joe and I are seeking a divorce," he penned at the time. “This wasn’t an easy decision to make but Joe and I both understand that this situation isn’t fair to either of us. It’s something that neither of us were expecting but we are going to take it day by day.”

The former zoo owner was also married to Travis Maldonado, who tragically died from a self-inflicted, accidental gunshot wound in 2017.

Joe, who rose to fame in the Netflix hit documentary Tiger King, is currently serving 21 years at a federal prison in Oklahoma. In 2020, the star was convicted of trying to hire two men to kill animal activist Carole Baskin as well as abusing animals at his private zoo.

The blonde bombshell - who has always maintained his innocence - was arrested after he offered an undercover FBI agent $10,000 (€9,200) to kill Carole, who runs a sanctuary for big cats in Florida
